Sign Language Interpreter – Flexible Hours

Purpose

The Registered/Trainee Sign Language Interpreter role involves delivering high-quality, professional interpretation between British Sign Language and English across a range of settings, ensuring clear and effective communication for Deaf and hearing clients. The role requires preparation for assignments, adherence to the NRCPD Code of Ethics, cultural mediation, and maintaining confidentiality, while working flexibly to meet client and organisational needs. Interpreters are expected to uphold professional standards, manage their workload, maintain accurate records, engage in continuous professional development, and represent Positive Signs with professionalism at all times.

Hours of Work

Flexible – 3-5 days

21 – 35 hours per week.

Location

Company based in Upminster, Essex, with work locations anywhere within
reasonable travelling distance.

Salary

Salary will be dependant on qualication level.

This post attracts benefits and 25 days annual leave, or pro rata for part time.
