Enrol in a Course

Positive Signs delivers Deaf Aware® Training onsite and online. We can come to your organisation or you can join us online or come to one of our training locations. We also provide British Sign Language training.

Deaf Aware® Training

Our BSL GURU® sessions are one hour long and give you one-to-one training with a BSL GURU®. You can use this time to ask the GURU’s anything to do with your British Sign Language training. There is a BSL GURU® for any level signer that wishes to have face to face online sessions.

We don’t leave our students in the classroom.

Every week, all of our onsite courses link to the online community and learning resources, where students can easily recap on their weekly sessions, practice, and communicate with their Guru. This ensures that learning continues beyond the classroom and remains accessible at all times.

Theory

Our courses include detailed British Sign Language (BSL) theory, which is carefully tailored to each learner’s level. As a result, students can fully grasp the foundational principles and advanced concepts at their own pace, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Vocabulary

Learners, moreover, have access to specific vocabulary videos that help them revise, retain, and remember the signs, phrases, and sentences learned in class. This, in turn, reinforces their in-class learning, while also helping to significantly expand their vocabulary and comprehension.

Online Communities

Thinkific Communities, in addition, provide an interactive platform for students to engage with peers and their BSL Guru, thereby enhancing their overall learning experience. Students who enroll in a course are automatically added to the relevant communities, where they can easily ask questions, share insights, and seek guidance from others.

Learning on the Go

Additionally, our learning academy can be accessed on desktops, as well as through our Positive Signs Training App, which is available for free on both Apple and Android phones and tablets. This ensures that learning is always within reach, enabling students to conveniently practice and review BSL on the go, no matter where they are or what they are doing.
